Beacon Hill Gully, Lion Rock's Ancient Kiln

Beacon Hill Gully is a natural gully located south of Beacon Hill in Hong Kong. Due to the long-term erosion of rainwater, the ridge has formed deep gullies, and the terrain is steep and rugged, like a small Grand Canyon. The gully is surrounded by dense vegetation, and some sections require climbing with hands and feet. It is suitable for experienced climbers and has been one of the hot spots for hiking enthusiasts for many years. The Siu Lung Path is a niche hiking route located north of Lion Rock. During World War II, its high ground was the location of the Mo Fa Lookout, and the Siu Lung Path was also their hidden trail to and from the Lookout. The Lion Rock Ancient Kiln has been hidden next to the catchwater for many years and was not discovered by hikers until recent years. It is still well preserved, but the top has collapsed a little. Its historical value needs professional research.
