Lantau Trail

Lantau Trail is the third-longest mountain trail in Hong Kong. It was officially opened in 1984 and named after the highest peak, Lantau Peak. The Lantau Trail is 70km long and is divided into twelve sections. It starts from Mui Wo on the easternmost side of Lantau Island and goes counterclockwise through Tai Tung Shan, Phoenix Hill, Ngong Ping, Tai O, Kau Ling Chung, Shuikou, and then back to Mui Wo. Make a circle around Lantau Island. The difficulty of each section of the Lantau Trail is different. The shortest is only 2km, and the longest is 10km. The highest is to climb the second-highest Lantau Peak in Hong Kong, the westernmost to Tai O fishing village, the southernmost to Kau Ling Chung, the longest. The flat road is the water channel of Shek Pik Reservoir, and Ngong Ping has the most tourists. Except near Tung Chung, there are no tall buildings on the entire Lantau Trail. The scenery is full of sea and rolling mountains. It is like a fairy landscape, and it is the only quiet place on earth in Hong Kong. Please take good care of it, and take away the trash that does not belong to it, and let this quiet land continue to survive.
